A campaign with personality
Thermo Fisher Scientific was looking to increase engagement of their molecular biology segment. We were tasked to research and brainstorm engagement campaign ideas. Once we landed on a molecular biology “personality” quiz, my colleague at Bonfire Effect illustrated the letters, and I built all of the assets for the campaign.
Problem / solved
1. Think big picture
- For this project, I was involved in the strategy and research phase. I helped brainstorm ideas and built a pitch presentation full of ambitious and forward-thinking big picture campaign ideas.
- Thermo Fisher Scientific selected our idea for a campaign based around a molecular biology “work style” personality quiz.
2. Bring the quiz to life
- Other members on the Bonfire team developed the quiz copy and logic, and one of my colleagues illustrated the ACTGU letters. I combined all these into the final campaign assets.
- The deliverables included: quiz slides, quiz completion download packages (result PDFs, LinkedIn headers, social images), display ads, website images, and even an enamel pin.
3. Tie-back to the molecular biology segment’s campaign visuals
- This campaign needed to tie-back to its parent campaign’s visuals in a meaningful way.
- We integrated the colors, backgrounds, dot patterns, and diagonals from the molecular biology campaign creative. This made the quiz feel special and unique, while also keeping the same visual cues to tie it back to this segment.
